Here’s what you can expect:

  • What is an API?: We’ll break down the concept of APIs in a simple and understandable way, demonstrating how they power the communication between HubSpot and your custom applications.
  • Building Custom Cards with React: Discover the magic of creating cards tailored to your specific business needs using React, a popular JavaScript library and serverless functions which enable you to pull data from outside of HubSpot into your card
  • Getting Started with Local Development: Learn how to set up a local development environment, allowing you to test and refine your custom applications before deploying them live.

This webinar is perfect for:

Business users: Gain a deeper understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HubSpot development.

To make sure we are all starting at the same place, we need to get some things set up on our computers.

You will need to have installed the following on your computer:

Node.js

A text editor. Dennis will be using VS Code

The HubSpot CLI.

Bonus points if you set up Git for version control and create a GitHub account

You will also need to create a developer account and a test account with the developer account.

If this seems like a lot don’t worry, Dennis published this video to help you get there. We will briefly touch on this setup during the event, but we will be able to move along a lot faster if everyone has this step completed first!
